Saw Reservoir Dogs when I was a kid in the theater opening night before few had heard of Tarantino. By the time of the ear scene, I was the only one left in the theater. I went on to view it 4 more times in the theater. I probably still have the ticket stubs somewhere. I turned a lot of people onto Tarantino back in the day. All because I read a tiny blurb in Film Threat magazine, which compared him to Scorsese. He's a great director, no doubt, but he's no Scorsese. I probably still have that magazine somewhere, too.
